NY State District Administrators Section Coordinators Meeting

Present: Danny Cavallo, State Director, Corey Wright East Region, Sec. 1 Diane Noga, Sec. 2 Eric Pappa(for Dan Salmon) Sec. 3 Guy Madsen, Sec.4 Joe Sagaria,

Sec. 5 Harold Weismann, Sec. 6 Steve Neithardt, Pete Pennelle State Treasurer,

Dale Goodell, Gina Bitsimis.

Danny handed out State host site paperwork and a Tournament Info. Pamphlet which lists dates, places of Tournaments.   This pamphlet also includes pool play brackets and pool play rules.

Crossover games were discussed.   It was voted in Sept. 2008 to have one if weather permitted.  Discussion ended.

Danny asked what divisions each Section was sending to State Tournaments.   All

6 sections were sending a representative for each Tournament except Big League Softball.   No Section had Big League Softball.

Corey reminded us, that start date for District play could start as early as Friday June 26^th with East Region approval.

Danny suggested getting a 2 to 3 year commitment for upper level Tournaments host sites.

Danny asked Corey why Williamsport can’t set a date for the upcoming World Series until after mid-November.   They know what weekend it is going to be.

Host Site Application, if a host site does not meet field criteria (ex. 200 foot fence) the DA should fill out form, have presidents(if District play) sign, that the field is acceptable to them and forward to Corey.   If Section and or State play, DA should have Section Coordinators sign form and again forward to Corey.

Nothing settled about room blocking or carding.
