Danny discussed pool play versus double elimination in state tournaments.
Many still don’t understand the tie breakers in pool play.
Pete: Double elimination works well in big league, suggested it for Junior and
Senior state tournaments.
Steve: Let the kids decide the game on the field, not with a calculator.
Joe: Let’s use double elimination for baseball and pool play for softball.
Association will decide at Saturdays meeting which system to use.

If a section/district turns a tournament back in, we would allow other sections/districts
till Nov. 1st to accept to host that tournament.
Joe, If a district does not have a certain program it should not be allowed to host that
state tournament.
Joe, State tournaments do not have to start on a Saturday.
Danny stated that we currently take in $3800.00 in association dues. We spend about $4700.00. He suggested raising dues to $150.00. He also suggested giving host sites 100 pins to be handed out at tournament. Total package to host would amount to $500.00.(flags, pins, $200.00 for expenses, baseballs)
Danny said that we need to operate more business-like. Charge vendors to come to meetings, also charge them to advertise on your websites.
Steve suggested forming a committee to look into new ways to increase revenue.
Danny said we are losing kids to travel ball. Why not host weekend tournaments for teams to travel to your district. Post these tournaments on the state website
District administrators should make sure all presidents in their district know the state website.
Meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted,
Don Jordan, Secretary
